About

I’m into art, local economies, and resilient networks. I dream of widespread adoption of ad-hoc mesh networks, impromptu currencies, and goods backed economies. I like to program but I also like to get my hands dirty, mostly through my painting practice, hardware hacking, and cooking.

I’m an alum of NYU’s Interactive Telecommunications Program and member of NYC Resistor in Brooklyn. During the day I’m a Hacker at QLabs, where we imagine and create new tools and applications for web and mobile.

Some things I’ve made:

  • Sketching In – my response to personal ambivalence about checking in on Foursquare
  • Occupyist – events and feeds of Occupy Wall Street
  • Twitter Portraits – paintings of the avatars of people on Twitter
  • BeeMe - a loyalty punchcard on your mobile phone
  • API for the World - a sensor that turns anything with a power cable into a networked object
  • Mobile Freedom Project - my efforts to circumvent mobile carrier contracts and fees
  • DodgeBot - a facetracking nerf cannon

Stuff Someone Should Make is my place to share random ideas.
